{"id":1218,"date":"2017-02-01T01:56:11","date_gmt":"2017-02-01T01:56:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uafuml.org\/?p=1218"},"modified":"2017-02-01T01:56:11","modified_gmt":"2017-02-01T01:56:11","slug":"updated-procedure-to-apply-for-professional-development-funding-january-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uafuml.org\/?p=1218","title":{"rendered":"Updated Procedure to Apply for Professional Development Funding: January, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Step One:\u00a0 Check Eligibility Guidelines:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/uafuml.org\/?cat=306\">Professional Development Category Archives<\/a> on the Union website: &lt;<a href=\"http:\/\/uafuml.org\/?cat=306\">http:\/\/uafuml.org\/?cat=306<\/a>&gt;<\/p>\n<p>Both the Eligibility Guidelines and the Professional Development Request are below this post.<\/p>\n<p>Disregard the line that says:\u00a0 \u201cApplication for funds and receipts must be submitted to the Union on the approved form within 15 days of the event.\u201d\u00a0 You must submit your\u00a0<em>receipts\u00a0<\/em>within 15 days of the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step Two: Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you meet the eligibility guidelines, complete the Funding Request and submit it electronically.<\/p>\n<p>You will be notified when your request is approved by the Union and the Administration.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t hear anything within a couple of weeks, check back with Tess George at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Teresa_George@uml.edu\">Teresa_George@uml.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step Three:\u00a0 Attend the Professional Development Event<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Keep all receipts for travel, lodging and registration fees.\u00a0 Meals are not included.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step Four:\u00a0 Submit your receipts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>E-mail copies of your receipts to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Karen_Morin@uml.edu\">Karen_Morin@uml.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step Five:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Look for your reimbursement in your regular bi-monthly pay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Step One:\u00a0 Check Eligibility Guidelines: Go to the Professional Development Category Archives on the Union website: &lt;http:\/\/uafuml.org\/?cat=306&gt; Both the Eligibility Guidelines and the Professional Development Request are below this post.
